A “Rarities album” to start 2012 with!

Patrice feels quite positive about 2012 and has a lot of projects coming up… A LOT. From releasing his first short-movie to sharing his Sweggae Music with the world..

But first thing’s first : He was given the opportunity to put together rare and unreleased songs that were written along the years into a “Rarities” album..

We hope you will be happy to start the new year with this, because we truly are. Getting back into these forgotten songs felt great !

Shooting “The Making of The Maker” in Africa

Patrice just came back from Freetown, Sierra Leone where he’s been shooting his upcoming short-movie “The Making of The Maker” :

“I’m very privileged to work with great people on this project. Great actors, great cameramen and it was my first time directing. My father was a writer and a director so.. you know, I hoped it runs in the family.

While the shooting is done, a lot of work remains ahead of us but hopefully the trailer will drop off right before the new year.

2012, they say the world is gonna end.. I believe so. It’s gonna be a new world, a better one.”

Summer festivals…
Not only do we get to share warm nights out with joyful crowds, we can also chill out and enjoy other artists’ performances.
It’s usually the same bands that cross our path and some have become good friends along the way…

Keziah Jones is no longer a “special guest” to Patrice’s concerts. When he joins in and play his blufunk alongside Soul, it’s like a family reunion.
We tried to catch the vibe for you to feel..

I feel like the verses and the chorus aren’t as one but I’m still experimenting you know… Everything I do, I like it to be complete.. but it’s nice to share a demo so that you can see the progress and somehow be part of this.

Well, you know what it’s like with songwriting and creativity.. You really have to feel it.

So right now, I can’t give you the free song I’ve promised, just because it’s not ready yet. I want to make it right and rushing to have it done by this week would be wrong…

It will take a few more days but it’ll come! New (free) song. Soon. Very soon.
